Winter is very much still with us here in good ole Michigan. This past week we have had several blizzard-y days and even a night of thunder, lightening, and downpours. Michigan weather is variable, if not predictable. The Lake has been beautiful inspite of the weather, as usual and we love taking pics of it.
Today it was DH and DGS who took the walk with the fur-babies along the lake and snapped the piccies. I stayed in where it was warm and did laundry and knitted on Boot socks for DGS.

My needles have been hopping. I finished 3 pair of socks last week and a chemo hat and scarf set for dear friend Vicki. Sent them off with DD Karin this a.m to be delivered to Vicki, so she can wear them tomorrow when she goes for her treatment. Forgot to get piccies, phooey! She called later and said she loves them and will defininetly wear them in the morning.

I also finished a new felted bucket bag for my next sock knitting project. Which will be the Tropical Dream Socks by Judy Sumner, using the LisaSouza Sock Merino yarn that Angela sent me in the Sock Bag Swap. (the bag that she sent is busy holding the boot socks that are WIP for DGS) This bag was made with Paton's Classic Wool Merino. 2 strands on size 13 US needles. It is so easy and quick, I designed it for my partner in the Townie Sock Bag Swap and now I want a dozen for me!

I even did some sewing, besides lining the felted bag. I sewed the strips together for the 9-patch pink and white baby quilt that I am making for DD Kimmi to give to a friend at work. That one kinda got away from me and she is going to get it when she comes back from baby leave. Ooops!

Ahhh, and I won this book by Barbara Delinsky from the Berrocco yarn site. It's even autographed. UPS brought it at about 5 p.m on Wed. and I was finishing up the read just after daylight on Thurs. a.m.! Now, where did the night go? Good read if you like the genre. Not my usual genre, but I have to say that I did enjoy it and I may even read some of her other books, now. Light reading, with yarn, knitting and a yarn shop woven into the story. I printed off the order form from Berrocco to order the pattern booklet that accompanies the story.
I think I had better 'publish' this before Blogger does something mean and the whole post disappears, like the last time that I tried to post.
