these little sockies went to Children in Common. Nice thick socks for small kiddos. I used left-overs from some of the socks that I knit for MittensForAkkol. I love making these little guys. They work up so quickly and I can just see the cute little toes that they will be warming.
I tried again to up load a pic of my Secret of the Stole KAL swatch. No can do. I just can't figure out why I can upload older pics like this one and not the newer ones. Of course, the instruction book to my camera may just as well have been written in Greek. I don't read symbols well. I like plain old written english. Ah, well. I'll keep trying until I figure it out.
In the meantime, we have received the first clue to the Secret of the Stole and I have knitted 18 rows. I hope that I will be able to finish it before the next clue comes on the 12th of Oct. At the same time I have some knitting to get done for the etsy site of the MittensForAkkol group. 100% of the profits from this site goes to support the ophans in Akkol, Kazakhstan. We need all the help we can get to make sure that these precious children are warm even tho it is -40 degrees outside in winter and the buildings are not kept as warm as American homes, so the children need warm socks, sweaters, vests, hats and mittens. http://www.mittensforakkol.etsy.com/
If you can't help us with this effort, please consider doing even just one thing this winter to help warm someone in need. The world will be a better place if you do.

Can you share your pattern for the little socks? I would love to knit some small socks for children in the Battered Women's and Children Shelter locally. Those kids often have to duck out of terrible situations in the middle of the night with nothing but their pajamas.
Great Socks !!!!!
